The Recession Is Over. Stop Using It As An Excuse.

Businesses have used the recession as an excuse for poor performance for too long and it’s a dangerous mistake to make.

While ever you use the recession as an excuse for how your business is performing, you are surrendering the control to do anything about your situation.

As soon as you remove this excuse, you are forced to look at other reasons, reasons which you control.

Other Reasons

  • It might be that you are spending too much on marketing. It might be that you’re not spending enough.
  • It might be that your systems and procedures are inefficient or that you don’t have any at all.
  • It might be that your terms of business result in poor cashflow.
  • It might be that you need to ditch some of your worst customers or focus on more profitable ones.

The Bitterest Pill

As bitter as some of these pills may be to swallow, the wonderful news is that you are responsible for them. And by responsible, I mean that you are ‘able’ to ‘respond’, which is a much more powerful position for you to be in.

Yes, times are tough. Yes, the world has changed. But I guarantee that there are businesses within your industry who are doing extremely well right now, so why not you.
