Facebook is a party with over 800 million people already there. You’ve got to get into the party, bust out your moves and build a crowd. Then it’s back to your place for some action.
The idea is to turn up to the party and find the group of people who are interested in what you’re saying & doing in a social capacity. No-one will be interested if you talk shop.
Your aim is to engage with your group and grow its size.
Once you have built a dedicated group of fans at the Facebook party, the idea is to then take them back to your own private party – your website. There are fewer distractions there and you will have a much better chance of converting them into customers. And at your website, shop talk is permissible.
